She went to a Catholic convent in the UK.
She divorced Phillipe Junot, 17 years her senior, after less than 2 years of marriage (1980).
She married speedboat racer, Stefano Casiraghi (1983).
When she realized her children could not ascend the throne because she was divorced, she convinced Junot into making the divorce an annulment.
Her husband, Stefano, was killed in a boat accident and caused her to fall into a deep depression. (She cut her hair, wore no make up and refused to appear in public for official duties - 1990).
She had an affair with Prince Ernst of Hanover while he was still married.
He got divorced and married Caroline (1999).
She smokes.
