Why they might be annoying:

    From the same guy that would later bring us the Village People…
    They had two albums titled ‘The Best of…’ (in 1977 and 2005).
    Most of their albums had a direct concept, in terms of music and cover shoots.
    The entire group was changed in 1978. From then on, members would join and leave seemingly at random.

Why they might not be annoying:

    The name came from Ritchie Rome, a record producer.
    Wooten and Oliver performed together in their school glee club and as members of ‘Honey & the Bees,’ a local R&B group.
    ‘The Best Disco in Town’ featured an original chorus performing a medley of recent songs (including a rapid rendition of ‘Love to Love You Baby’).
    Brown and Draher reformed the group pretty much on their own, with Smith.
