Why he might be annoying:

Very little is know about his personal life.
He kept his HIV status (and possibly his homosexuality) a secret, even after other gay singers like Holly Johnson came out and revealed their illness.
Some sources say he died from AIDS while others say he died from a brain tumor (which could have been AIDS-related).
Some people think he is still alive.
Despite having sung with the Edgar Winter group, and having several solo hits during the late 1970s and 1980s, many know him only for his 1984 hit 'I Can Dream About You.'
'I Can Dream About You' is perhaps the only song by him that is played on the radio.
He called his house and recording studio 'The Schoolhouse.'
He wore a fake moustache when he was in the Legends.

Why he might not be annoying:

He dealt with a lot of homophobia in school while growing up. That may have been why he was very closeted.
He hated shopping at K-Mart.
