    They are the home of the Brazil nut.
    It is one of two South American countries that are landlocked.
    Puya Raimondii, which is found in Bolivia, takes 150 years to bloom and dies quickly.
    It is the third-largest cultivator of coca (after Peru and Colombia).
    The mayor of Ayo Ayo, Benjamin Altamirano was lynched and burned (June 15, 2004).

Why Bolivia might not be annoying:

    It is still operating under their 16th constitution.
    The world's highest ski run is at Mount Chacaltays (17,000 feet).
    The city of La Paz is so high above sea level (12,000 feet) that there is barely enough oxygen to start a fire.
