Basketball Coach

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He is extremely private about his personal life, going as far as not publicly disclosing his birth date.
He was initially hired on with the Bullets/Wizards franchise through nepotism.
His college basketball career was unremarkable, which played a role in his decision not to play professionally.
He initially left the Wizards, after he didn't land one of the bench coaching positions for the 2011-12 season.
Some basketball pundits went as far as saying he was a 'legacy hire' for the Wizards, as a result of his father's status as a franchise icon.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of Bullets franchise legend Wes Unseld.
He gradually worked his way up the NBA ranks, starting at a entry level position up to coaching.
He established himself as a coach in his own right, and didn't have any influence from his father.
He was one of seven African-Americans hired out of the eight NBA head coaching vacancies in the 2021 off-season.
He downplayed the Washington media's by saying he paid his own dues to land the Wizards head coaching job, which was not influenced by his family name associated with the franchise.
