    Nicknamed 'the Guitar Wizard' and 'the Man with the Gold Guitar'

    He performs kazoo solos on several of his singles.
    He and fellow blues musician/drinking buddy Big Bill Broonzy got so drunk that they slept through both games of a White Sox doubleheader.
    He blamed his latter day health and financial problems on his inability to refuse a drink.

Why he might not be annoying:

    His parents died when he was a child and he was raised by his aunt and grandmother.
    His bottleneck style of guitar playing influenced Muddy Waters and Elmore James.
    He was one of the most prolific blues artists of the 30s, recording over 300 songs.
    He opened up his home in Chicago to blues musicians arriving from the south, easing their transition to the big city.
