Other former members include Mark Orr, James Harrison and Anthony Kenney
Recorded the singles 'Dumas Walker,' 'Oh Lonesome Me,' 'Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line,' 'Walk Softly On This Heart Of Mine,' 'Honky-Tonk Walkin,' 'Dixie Fried,' 'Let's Work Together' and 'Rock n' Roll Angel'
Recorded the mainstream albums 'Pickin' on Nashville (1989),' 'Electric Barnyard (1991),' 'Rave On (1993),' 'That'll Work (with Johnnie Johnson) (1993),' 'Stompin' Grounds (1997)' and 'Songs from the Grass String Ranch (2000)'

Why they might be annoying:

The band's original name was Itchy Brother.
They didn't make their mainstream country music debut until 1989.
Doug and Ricky Lee Phelps quit the band at the height of their popularity.
Their fans didn't react well to Mark Orr replacing Ricky Lee Phelps as the band's frontman.
Their version of 'Let's Work Together' was used in the 1991 box-office flop 'Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man'.
The majority of their song catalog were cover songs of older artists from Don Gibson to Waylon Jennings.
Fred Young often wears a coon skin cap and plays the drums barechested.
Doug Phelps returned to the band after his and Ricky Lee's group Brother Phelps disbanded.

Why they might not be annoying:

They were initially established as a family band, as brothers Richard and Fred founded it with their cousins Greg and Anthony.
They were a fixture, performing at many venues in their home state of Kentucky, before going on hiatus in 1982.
They originally signed a contract with Swan Song Records, which was founded by Led Zeppelin, but the label ceased operations, following the death of John Bonham.
They landed their mainstream break by accident, as one of their independent releases sold at one of their shows made its way to record executives in Nashville.
The album in question was 'Pickin' On Nashville', which recorded four Top 40 singles on Billboard's Country charts.
Despite the skepticism their label had about 'Dumas Walker' being released due to being too regional by executives, the song wound up being the band's signature one, due to its popularity.
Their debut album 'Pickin' On Nashville' won a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by A Duo or Group (1989).
They introduced slawburgers and the soft drink Ski to the mainstream, with the release of 'Dumas Walker.'
