The Resume

    (1990- )
Formed in the Los Angeles area
    Ice-T (Vocalist)
    Ernie-C (Guitarist)
    D-Roc (Guitarist)
    Mooseman (Bassist)
    Beatmaster V (Drummer)
Recorded 'Body Count' (1992),'Born Dead' (1994) and 'Violent Demise: The Last Days' (2000)
Gained notoriety for the controversial song 'Cop Killer'

Why he might be annoying:

Most of their songs contain language and subject matter most people would find offensive and violent.
'Cop Killer' raised so much controversy, that Time Warner(Ice-T's label) was boycotted, and Ice-T was ranked #2 on the FBI's National Threat list.
Other songs on their debut album, 'Body Count' included 'Bowels of the Devil' and 'KKK Bitch.'
Legendary actor, Charlton Heston, once read out the lyrics to 'KKK Bitch' to shareholders at Time Warner's AGM.
At first, Ice-T would refuse to remove 'Cop Killer' from the Body Count debut, but the pressure on Time Warner became so great (boycotts, employee death threats, etc.), that he finally relented and the track was replaced with spoken words from former Dead Kennedys frontman, Jello Biafra.

Why he might not be annoying:

They contributed a cover of Jimi Hendrix's 'Hey Joe' for 'Stone Free: Tribute to Jimi Hendrix.'
Many of their songs, although violent, had forceful anti-drug and anti-racism messages.
Ice-T once said he did not advocate the murder of police officers through the 'Cop Killer' song, but rather exposing police for their brutality (in particular, the Los Angeles Police Department).
After the Los Angeles riots over the verdict of the Rodney King case in 1992, many looked to Ice-T, since people were realizing that police officers have used brutality against minorities throughout the country.
They were once offered the opening slot on the Metallica/Guns N' Roses North American tour, and it exposed them to a more mainstream audience.
Ice-T now has a regular role on 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.'
