Why they might be annoying:

Bible-trivia geeks like to point out that their real names were Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were what their Babylonian slave-masters called them).
They refused to eat the food provided by the Babylonians (bad manners).
Comedian Meshach Taylor, of ‘Mannequin' fame, is named after Meshach.
The 'VeggieTales' Christian children's video series called them 'Rack, Shack and Benny.'
They probably never existed.

Why they might not be annoying:

They were kidnapped and enslaved because they were Jewish.
King Nebuchadnezzer had them thrown into a furnace when they wouldn't worship him as a god.
God and/or angels supposedly saved them from the fire.
They stood up for their beliefs.
Beastie Boys wrote a song about them.
