Vocalist

The Resume

    (1955- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Recorded 'I Like Dreaming' and 'Love's Grown Deep'

Why he might be annoying:

He's a two hit wonder, and his second hit has been all but forgotten on oldies station's playlists.
He was a child music prodigy, earning a scholarship to USC at age 13, and dropping out six months after entering.
He wrote and provided the falsetto voice for the cheesy 1974 disco tune 'Get Dancing' by Disco Tex.
By the end of 1978, fed up with flying and doing press promotions, he quit as a singer, concentrating on songwriting.

Why he might not be annoying:

Two of the songs he wrote were 1975 smash #1 hits for other artists - Frankie Valli's 'My Eyes Adored You' and Labelle's 'Lady Marmalade.'
'I Like Dreaming' reached #3 on Billboard's Singles chart in 1977, was certified gold and sold over a million copies.
Later that year, he beat out Andy Gibb to win the Billboard Award for Pop New Vocalist.
His songs have been recorded by such artists as Tavares, Shalamar, The Deele featuring Babyface, The Grass Roots and Dobie Gray.
He wrote 'Masterpiece' for Atlantic Starr, which reached #3 in 1992, and the band was so grateful they came to his house and performed for his daughter's 13th birthday party.
