Why he might be annoying:

He was a journeyman player.
He was fired by the Blues half a year after taking the head coaching job on a permanent basis.
His claim to NHL infamy is being the head coach of the 1983-84 Penguins, which allegedly threw games in order to secure the 1st overall pick.
He never coached another game following the notorious 1983-84 season.

Why he might not be annoying:

He earned an engineering degree from MIchigan Tech University.
He was a member of the inaugural Flyers roster, and served as the franchise's first captain.
He was a valuable defensive player for the Hawks during their two runs to the Stanley Cup Finals between 1969 and 1973.
He admitted thirty years later that the Penguins deliberately threw the 1983-84 season in order to draft Mario Lemieux (a claim that the team's general manager at the time, Eddie Johnston, denies).
