After quitting 'Wicked Lester,' Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley formed Kiss
They went from wearing make-up to not wearing make-up to wearing make-up to not ...
Two original members quit (Peter Criss (1980) and Ace Frehley (1982)).
Vincent was kicked out of the group due to to drug use.
St. John quit due to Reiters Syndrome.
After twelve years, Kulick was let go to make room for Ace Frehley's return.
Singer also was let go so Peter Criss could rejoin.
The four original members reunited and toured (1996).
They call their fans 'Kiss Army' and their rock bio 'Kisstory.'

They are really into merchandising, including a Kiss credit card and Kiss casket.
    They all have tattoos.
They recycle old songs and mix them into new albums.

Why they might not be annoying:

They set the single concert record in Brazil (1983) by performing in front of 260,000 (breaking Queen's 1973 record of 250,000).
