Assassin (Failed)

The Resume

    (May 29, 1955- )
Attempted to assassinate U.S. President Ronald Reagan (Monday, March 30, 1981)

Why he might be annoying:

His middle name is 'Warnock' (what's a Warnock).
He obsessed over Robert De Niro's 'Taxi Driver,' watching it at least fifteen times.
He tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan as his way of impressing Jodie Foster.
A few weeks before the attempted assassination, he wrote Jodie Foster, 'Jodie, goodbye! I love you six trillion times. Don't you maybe like me a little bit? (You must admit it I am different). It would make all the difference. John Hinckley of course' (March 6, 1981).
His six bullets hit Ronald Reagan, press secretary James Brady, Officer Thomas Delahant and Security Agent Timothy J. McCarthy (March 30, 1981).
Police found a 1981 John Lennon calendar, 'The Catcher in the Rye,' a farewell note to Jodie Foster, Valium, Surmontil and Drixoral in his hotel room. They also found and a picture postcard of Ronald and Nancy Reagan with a note inscribed to Jodie Foster asking 'You are a virgin, aren't you?'
He was found 'not guilty' by insanity (June 21, 1982), but 83% answered an ABC News poll that 'justice was not done'
Penthouse, asked him what his day in jail was like, he responded, 'I see a therapist, answer mail, play my guitar, listen to music, play pool, watch television, eat lousy food and take delicious medication.'
He attempted but failed at suicide (February 13, 1983).
He exchanged letters with serial killer Ted Bundy.
He tried but wasn't given the address of Charles Manson.
His girlfriend, Leslie deVeau, who he met at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, killed her ten year old daughter and attempted suicide (1982).

Why he might not be annoying:

Although he used devastator explode on impact bullets, none did.
He helps make the case for the anti gun lobby.
Because he had a successful insanity defense, states have tighten their insanity laws.
