Why Quebec City, Quebec might be annoying:

They receive an average of twelve feet of snow annually.
Winters are really, really cold, with temperatures averaging 10° F.
The Montreal Canadiens and the Quebec Nordiques (former Colorado Avalanche) had a strong rivalry. Many citizens of Quebec still hate Montrealers today only for that reason.
Their hockey team the Quebec Nordiques played in the WHA (1972-79) and then in the NHL (1979-95) abandoned Quebec for Colorado.

American troops tried (but failed) to capture the city in 1775, 1776 and 1812.
