He was a Canadian whose most famous film role was an American President.
George S. Kaufman said that Massey was so identified with the role of Lincoln that 'he won't be happy until he's shot.'
He played Jonathan Brewster in 'Arsenic and Old Lace' because producers wouldn't let Boris Karloff leave the Broadway production to recreate his stage role in the film.
Brewster is a homicidal maniac who has plastic surgery to make him look like Boris Karloff.
He was married three times.
