Why she might be annoying:

    She was thrust into the national spotlight after an eleven hour filibuster of an abortion bill (June 25. 2013).
    The bill, which banned abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, ended up being passed a few weeks later.
    She decided to turn her newfound popularity into a run for Governor of Texas in 2014.
    She filibustered an education funding bill in 2011, resulting in Republicans kicking her off the education committee.
    Her office was firebombed by a mentally ill homeless man (2012).

Why she might not be annoying:

    She started working part-time jobs at age 14 to help her single mother provide for the family.
    At age 19, she was a divorced single mother who lived in a trailer park.
    She went from a community college, to Texas Christian University, to Harvard Law School.
    The Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas selected her as Crime Fighter of the Year for her bipartisan work on bills to make Texas a safer place.
    She didn't shy away from holding several fairly liberal positions in deeply conservative Texas.
