Why United Nations might be annoying
Switzerland did not join until 2002.
They kicked out South Africa due to their apartheid practices and then let them back in.
Germany was refused admission until 1973.
They kicked out Taiwan, so that China would join (1971).
For many years, the major share of the money running the United Nations came from the United States.
Blocks of countries can push U.N. resolutions through (Zionism is racism).
Indonesia left the U.N. and then returned (January 1965-September 1966).
Why United Nations might not be annoying
They declared that all people have human rights.
They succeeded where the League of Nations failed.
They have many charitable organizations that bring medicines and foods to poor countries.
They try to be even handed by recognizing Israel's independence (1948) and allowed all the Palestine Liberation Organizations to be seated in the General Assembly.
They try to keep the peace in border disputes.
