Why he might be annoying:

He didn't start playing guitar until he was in his late 20's and said: 'I didn't like no guitar when I first heard it; oh gee, I couldn't stand a guy playin' a guitar. I didn't like none of it.'
He once shot and killed a man, sentenced to imprisonment for two years before being freed due to self-defense.
After hitchhiking and trying to get his blues career started, he met legendary bluesman, Charley Patton but the two constantly argued and they insulted each other, although it was Charley that helped him get started.
He drank loads and loads of alcohol and was constantly drunk.

Why he might not be annoying:

While he was a teenager, he sang and preached the gospel at many different churches.
After he was taken out of imprisonment, he moved away and started a blues music career.
Although him and Charley Patton constantly bickered, they still recorded together and they both recorded highly prized blues music.
Him and his music career soon disappeared and when a young blues guitarist named Alan Wilson found him, he taught him how to play guitar all over again and he was back playing live shows.
While he was in his early 70's, he was diagnosed with both Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
He continued playing until his memory was so affected that he wasn't able to memorize his chords and songs.
He was inducted into the Blues Foundation's Hall of Fame in 1980, being called one of the most important figures in blues.
He's a blues legend and he has influenced The White Stripes, Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, Ben Harper, Guy Davis and Robert Johnson.
The White Stripes were so influenced that they dedicated their first self-titled album to him and covered 'Death Letter' and 'John The Revelator.'
