(1986)

During their first eight years, they went through an average of one drummer per year.
Zawinul would play 10 keyboards onstage.
Their last album was a disappointing 'contractual obligation' record.
Following the group's break-up, Zawinul briefly toured with a band he called 'Weather Update.'

Why they might not be annoying:

It was a jazz supergroup that more than lived up to expectations.
They incorporated elements of rock, funk and world music with jazz.
They abandoned the soloist-accompaniment distinction and instead featured continuous improvisation by each band member.
They won an unprecedented four straight Album of the Year awards from Down Beat magazine (1974-77).
