Why Berlin Dutchmen might be annoying:

    Their geographical name gives off the initial impression that a team from Berlin, Germany was the first European team to compete for the Stanley Cup.
    Their team nickname was misleading, given the fact that the city was home to a large German population, and not Dutch.
    The term 'Dutchmen' was considered a slang for a German.
    They were defeated in a single game by the Montreal Wanderers for the Stanley Cup (March 12, 1910).
    They folded as a result of the OPHL ceasing operations.

Why Berlin Dutchmen might not be annoying:

    They were one of the OPHL's charter franchises.
    They won one OPHL championship, which gave them the opportunity to challenge the Wanderers.
    The Dutchmen nickname was used by amateur teams in the Kitchener–Waterloo region in the years following the franchise's disestablishment.
    They were the first ice hockey franchise to be established in the region.
    It's easy to forget that they were known as a Berlin franchise, as the city didn't change its name to Kitchener until six years after their appearance in the challenge game.
