Crime Fighter

The Resume

    (1964- )
    Born in Dallas, Texas
Former supervisor with the Secret Service
Came under fire for hiring prostitutes in Colombia, along with ten other agents, just prior to President Obama's diplomatic visit to Colombia, setting off an international scandal (2012)
Criticized for his use of social media, including posting photos of himself guarding prominent politicians and commenting on them via Facebook

Why he might be annoying:

He was serving on the Presidential Security detail when he opted to have prostitutes in before President Obama arrived.
The incident also involved heavy drinking, visits to a strip club in which photos were taken, and possible drug usage.
After the scandal broke, he and the other involved agents were sent back to the U.S. and were placed on administrative leave. They also had their top-secret security clearances revoked and were made to turn in their agency-issued BlackBerries.
His and the other agents' actions were exposed after one of the prostitutes made a scene after they refused to pay her (and while she denied that any confidential information was shared, she did state that 'if I were a terrorist I would have been able to do a thousand things, as some of the men had fallen asleep).
He was revealed to have posted photos of himself guarding then Governor Sarah Palin to Facebook, joking to a friend 'I was really checking her out, if you know what I mean' as he stood behind her near a waiting Secret Service vehicle.
Palin later responded during a Fox News appearance, saying: 'This agent who was kind of ridiculous there in posting pictures and comments about checking someone out. Well, check this out, buddy. You’re fired!'
He was allowed to retire in the wake of the scandal, although two others were removed from their positions, and six resigned.

Why he might not be annoying:

He graduated in 1982 from W.T. White High School in North Dallas.
His father, George Chaney, was a career secret Service Agent who served under President Eisenhower and President Johnson.
The bad press surrounding the incident resulted in the Secret Service imposing new regulations for employees, mostly restricting alcohol usage.
President Obama later told Jimmy Fallon during a Tonight Show appearance that the incident did not change his overall views on the Secret Service, saying: 'They protect me, they protect our girls. A couple of knuckleheads shouldn’t detract from what they do.'
