A 126 carat Brazilian aquamarine that was discovered the year of her crowning was named in her honor.
The Brazilians also named a dessert after her, 'Martha Rocha Torte.'

She was the first ever 'Miss Brazil.'
The other pageant contestants voted her 'Most Popular.'
Her first husband died in a plane crash.
Although she did not win Miss Universe, Hollywood producers still offered her movie contracts.
Her countrymen voted her the most beautiful Miss Brazil of all times (2004).
