    Born in Paris, France
    Composed 'Symphony in C' (1886), 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' (1887), the opera 'Ariadne and Bluebeard' (1907) and the ballet 'La Peri' (1911)

Why he might be annoying:

    He left the Paris Conservatoire in frustration over his inability to win any prizes for his early works.
    He was a perfectionist who destroyed much of his work out of dissatisfaction.
    'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' is the only one of his works that remains well-known.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He began composing at age 14.
    He was life-long friends with Claude Debussy, who he met at the Conservatoire.
    'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' became the best remembered segment of Disney's 'Fantasia.'
