The Resume

    (March 12, 1890-April 8, 1950)
    Born in Kiev, Ukraine
Member of the Russian Imperial Ballet and Les Ballet Russes
Choreographed and danced in 'The Afternoon of a Faun,' 'Jeux,' 'Till Eulenspiegel' and 'The Rite of Spring'

Why he might be annoying:

He was dismissed from the Imperial Ballet when the Dowager Empress declared his appearance on stage in tights without trunks obscene.
He caused a scandal in Paris when he mimed masturbation during the last act of 'The Afternoon of a Faun.'
The combination of his sensual dancing and Igor Stravinsky's radically modern score triggered a riot at the premier of 'The Rite of Spring.'
He suffered a nervous breakdown (1919) and spent the rest of his life in hospitals and asylums.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was known for his gravity-defying leaps.
    His choreography was daringly original.
When Soviet soldiers captured Budapest during World War II, he temporarily snapped out of his catatonia to greet them.
