Why Nothing Sacred might be annoying:

    It might be the lowest rated TV series in history. In its only season, every episode placed dead last in its time slot, except for the pilot, which was next to last.
    It was deliberately controversial with storylines challenging the Catholic Church's teachings on various subjects. According to the show's producers, they wanted to stir a debate in the Church, as opposed to you know, entertain people and get good ratings.
    TV critics were positively orgasmic over it. Particularly TV Guide, which for some reason, ran a review of a never aired episode for the first time in its history and had a reviewer write that he didn't think television could survive without the show!

Why Nothing Sacred might not be annoying:

    It had incredible guest stars including; Theresa Saldana, Judith Hoag, Jay O. Sanders, Donna Murphy, Fionnula Flanagan, Erika Christensen, Jessica Harper, and Jose Zuniga almost every week.
    Part of the problem with its ratings was that it appeared against Friends for the first few months of its existence.
    The Catholic League led a viewer and advertiser boycott against it.
    It was created by a Jesuit priest.
