    Born in Inglewood, California
    Drafted 53rd overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1982 NFL Draft
    Linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys (1982-89)

Why he might be annoying:

    He left the football team at Yale for the 1979 season, only to return when he got guaranteed playing time.
    He was one of the first players Jimmy Johnson cut when he took over the Cowboys head coaching position.
    He primarily was a backup player during his stint with the Cowboys.
    He kept his homosexuality in the closet during his playing career.
    Although he was gay, he married a woman and fathered two children before divorcing her.
    He didn't come out of the closet until he was 60 years old.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was born on Christmas Day.
    He earned All-Ivy League honors during his junior year at Yale (1980).
    He was outspoken during his stint with the Cowboys.
    He played for the Cowboys during the end of the Tom Landry years.
    He is the first player associated with the NFL to enter a same-sex marriage.
