Why he might be annoying:

While an analyst for ESPN, he ripped Redskins owner Daniel Snyder repeatedly but signed on to coach for him in 2001.
He says ‘frankly’ all the time.
He is the winningest coach to never coach in a championship game or Super Bowl.
With the Browns, and later Chiefs, he frequently had his heart broken by John Elway.
Only Dan Reeves has won more games without winning it all.
His last name has 14 letters.
There are rumors (albeit unsubstantiated) that he has had extramarital affairs.

Why he might not be annoying:

His teams always play old school, smash-mouth football.
He has a degree in English, and speaks more like an academic than a jock.
He is a licensed pilot that has flown with the Navy's Blue Angels and the Air Force's Thunderbirds.
In 2001, he finished 8-3 with the Redskins, and did it with a less than stellar roster. For his extraordinary efforts, Snyder fired him.
Snyder replaced him with Steve Spurrier, who got twice the money, was in over his head from day one, and wasn’t capable of doing the job.
He has only had two losing seasons as head coach.
