The group is made up of the winners of a Canadian nationwide search.
Their formation was documented on the Canadian version of 'Pop Stars.'
Although she failed to make the final auditioning process, producers added Andrea to the band after an original member stole another contestant's credit card and ran up a huge bill with it; that original member got cut from the group.
When AskMen.com rated their beauty, the panel was harsh on Julie's appearance.
Twenty-year old Maiko left the band to sing backup for her husband, Remy Shand.

Why they might not be annoying:

Sugar Jones will continue as a quartet after Maiko's departure.
Sahara is a redhead.
They dont deny that they are a manufactured group.
