Why they might be annoying:

They invited Sid Vicious to audition as lead singer, but he never showed up.
They disbanded and reunited numerous times with Vanian the only constant.
During their first reunion, they performed at several concerts as the Dimmed and the Doomed due to questions about who owned the rights to the band name.
The back cover of their debut album accidentally featured a picture of a different band, Eddie and the Hot Rods.
Like Siouxsie and the Banshees, they are punks who became goths.

Why they might not be annoying:

They beat out the Sex Pistols to become the first British punk group to release an album and to play in the US.
They appeared on an episode of The Young Ones.
Dexter Holland of the Offspring is a fan and signed them to the Nitro Records label (2000).
