    Born in Glinkovsky District, Russia
    Major in the Red Army
    Self-taught sniper with five hundred confirmed kills
    Assistant commander of the Headquarters of the 1122nd Rifle Regiment, a division of the 1st Baltic Front
    Fought at the Battle of Moscow as Junior Lieutenant of a mortar company (1941)
    Awarded Hero of the Soviet Union title while recovering from his injuries he sustained in Estonia (June 4, 1944)
    Worked as the foreman of a coal mine in Chelyabinsk Oblast after World War II
    Died in Kizlyar, Dagestan, Russia

Why he might be annoying:

    He dropped out of school after 10th Grade.
    He dropped out of Penza Art College. (1939)
    He spent much of the time during the war instructing others while occasionally participating in combat.
    After he received the Hero of the Soviet Union title, his superiors prohibited him from seeing combat again despite still being a combatant.
    He pretty much faded into obscurity after the war.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the deadliest Soviet sniper in World War II.
    He grew up in a peasant family.
    He trained other soldiers how to snipe.
    He and his men were so good at sniping that the Germans had to send their own snipers in response.
    He destroyed a tank and three tractors with incendiary bullets in one excursion.
