    He majored in both textiles and fashion at Michigan State University.
    He became a journeyman player after leaving Atlanta.
    He had short tenures with both the Warriors and Nuggets, along with two separate stints with both the Hawks and Rockets.
    His career accomplishments were largely ignored by basketball pundits, in contrast to the contemporaries of his era.
    His trade to Miami was badly received by the fanbase, many of whom cheered when Pat Riley traded him as his first move with the Heat.
    He briefly came out of retirement to play for the Mavericks (2007).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He recorded over 16,000 career points and 11,000 career rebounds.
    He, along with Dominique Wilkins, Doc Rivers and Spud Webb formed an exciting core for the Hawks during the 1980's.
    He surpassed many of Robert Parish's records pertaining to being the oldest player to play in the NBA.
    He, along with Charles Oakley served as the veteran leaders for a Raptors team that made the franchise's first playoff appearance (1999).
    He earned a championship ring as a member of the Spurs (2003).
