Sports Executive

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He is smug and arrogant in interviews.
He unceremoniously fired the Edmonton franchise's long time equipment manager, Dwayne Mandrusiak without cause, despite the fact the latter was associated with the team for 49 years.
He attempted to save his ass from getting fired by Edmonton, by poaching the Redblacks star players in free agency.
He opted not to get his COVID-19 vaccination, and tried to pass it off to the media as a medical exemption.
The Edmonton team he oversaw regressed continually in the four seasons he was in charge.
He refused to fire his head coach, Jaime Elizondo, when the team's performance during the 2021 season was going off the rails, which some believe he refused to do it as a result of their friendship.
He was reviled by the team's players, both past and present, along with the team's fanbase.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a special teams player at the University of Montana.
He apprenticed in the CFL ranks under legendary general manager Jim Popp.
He was the first assistant general manager in the history of the Redblacks franchise.
He earned a Grey Cup ring as a member of the Redblacks front office (2016).
His work in Ottawa made him a rising star candidate for potential general manager jobs, which parlayed into the Edmonton job.
