The Resume

    (1928- )
Based on a charcoal drawing of Ann Turner Cook at four months by neighbor Dorothy Ann Smith
Became Gerber's official trademark in 1931

Why she might be annoying:

    She looks shocked.
Many wrongly believe her to be Humphrey Bogart (whose baby picture did appear in advertisements for another company).
Neither the model nor the artist received any royalties.
An episode of Futurama identified her as Richard Nixon.

Why she might not be annoying:

She helped make Gerber America’s top seller of baby food.
She may be the most widely recognized baby in the world.
Her simple charcoal sketch was chosen by Gerber over more detailed color paintings.
She grew up to be a teacher and mystery writer.
Gerber finally paid Ann Turner Cook $5000 in 1951 for use of her image.
