Why she might be annoying:

She always had a cheering section at her events that consisted of friends and family.
Before her big races she always ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which was supposed to calm herself down.
She has to remind everyone that the name of her daughter is Blair Cruikshank, not Blair Blair.

Why she might not be annoying:

She holds more individual gold medals than any other woman in U.S. olympic history.
In 1982, Blair was advised to compete in Europe to sharpen her skills, but had difficulty raising money for the trip. The police department of her hometown of Champaign, IL, held a series of raffles and bake sales on her behalf. They would do this every year for the next 10 years.
She donates her time to a variety of charities, that she organized through the Bonnie Blair Charitable Fund.
In what would be her final race, which fell on her 31st birthday, she set an American record in the 500 meter distance.
