Why she might be annoying:

    She is one of eight children.
    When she was a teenager, she accidentally caused a neighbor's hedge to catch on fire while lighting off firecrackers on the Fourth of July.
    She was hit by a runaway bobsled in a freak accident in Calgary which resulted in a broken right leg that cost her a chance to compete in the 2006 Winter Olympics.
    She retired for a short time after the 2010 Winter Olympics before returning to skeleton.

    She has degrees in Community Health, Physical Education and Business Administration.
    She enjoys spending time with her family.
    She was the first American female skeleton racer to win a gold medal in the World Championships.
    Her leg recovery was told in the documentary, '114 Days: The Race to Save a Dream.'
    She had to take time off from skeleton racing at the time she was six months pregnant (October 2007).
    She was the first female skeleton racer from the U.S. to win an Olympic medal since Tristan Gale and Lea Ann Parsley won medals in 2002.
