In college he directed an all-nude, drug-induced theatric version of 'Peter Pan.'
He dropped out of the University of Wisconsin a few months before graduation.
After his film 'Robot Jox' bombed, the production studio, Empire Pictures, went bankrupt and folded.
He wrote the script for 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,' which was also his biggest commercial success.
