    He deliberately got himself expelled from a seminary.
    He took a bookkeeper with him to a brothel to prove his claim he could make love to six women in an hour.
    He went mad from syphilis.
    He was committed to an asylum after slashing his throat.
    During his final months, he would howl like a dog, lick the walls of his cell and hoard his urine in jars.
