Why she might be annoying:

After college, she left the U.S. to play in France, Israel, Germany, and Sweden.
She played in the shadow of Houston's Big Three - Cynthia Cooper, Sheryl Swoopes and Tina Thompson.
She sought alternative treatment for her cancer in Tijuana, Mexico (it didn't work).

Why she might not be annoying:

Though she neither drank nor smoked, she developed lung cancer.
She surprised thosae who thought she would not make it in the WNBA.
She said: 'A lot of people said I couldn't play at a high level. I knew the Good Lord blessed me with so much talent and I have a message. That message is to all the young athletes, whether short, tall, lightweight, heavyweight, whatever it is, if you put your mind to it in sports, you can do it.'
Her Houston Comets to won back-to-back championships (1997, 98).
Her cancer prevented her from playing in 1999.
Despite her illness, she made about 100 public appearances as a motivational speaker.
WNBA president, Val Ackerman, said: 'The entire WNBA family is devastated by this tragic loss. We will remember Kim as a woman of great heart and indomitable courage who refused to be daunted by any challenge.'
The Comets retired her #10.
She was buried in her Comets uniform.
