Why she might be annoying:

After Three Mile Island, she claimed Hershey's chocolate was contaminated with strontium 90, even though strontium was not released during the accident.
She claimed, with no evidence, that the space shuttle program was damaging the Earth's ozone and 300 flights would completely destroy the ozone layer.
She failed in campaigns for seats in the Australian House of Representatives (1990) and Senate (1991).
She called Ronald Reagan 'the Pied Piper of Armageddon.'

Why she might not be annoying:

She opened the first clinic in Australia to treat cystic fibrosis.
She taught pediatrics at Harvard Medical School (1977-78).
She began her anti-nuclear campaign after discovering that fallout from nuclear weapon tests in French Polynesia had drifted to Australia and entered the food chain (1971).
