Why he might be annoying:

He has a tattoo on his right ankle.
He walked out of the room while filming 'The Goonies' documentary for the DVD and never returned.
He got badly injured while filming the 'Lord of the Rings,' when he accidentally stepped on a branch that was sticking up while running though the riverbed. He had to be airlifted to the hospital.
He had to gain 30 pounds for the movie 'Lord of the Rings.'
There were rumors that 'The Goonies' sequel will be filmed (2001).
In the 1994 movie 'Safe Passage,' the role of Izzy Singer was won by River Phoenix but since River passed away before the filming of the movie, he got the role.
During the 'Lord of the Ring' DVD commentary he would interrupt others, to talk about himself.
