Why Germany might be annoying:

    Adolf Hitler was their leader.
    During World War II they tried to eradicate all the gypsy and Jewish civilians.
    Power struggles immersed the country in two devastating World Wars in the first half of the 20th century and left the country divided by East and West until the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 1990's.
    It is considered bad mannered to wash clothes on Sunday, to sit on the floor, or to eat with your left hand in your lap.
    Germans usually don't put ice cubes in drinks.
    It is 'Deutschland' in German and 'Germany' in English - Why?
    People generally associate Germany and Germans with beer and sausage.
    They have been known to make some really bizarre porn.
    In German homes, all the doors are closed as a symbol of order.
    German isn't a pleasant language to listen to.

    While divided, the East German Olympic Female team was made up of many men disguised as women.

Why Germany might not be annoying:

    Famous for German shepherds and German measles.
    Americans name hamburgers and frankfurters after cities in Germany.
    It is Western Europe's richest and most populous nation.
    They have a very strong work ethic.
    They are the first to offer health benefits to workers, doing so since 1888.
    Germany possesses the world's third most powerful economy after the US and Japan.
    Germany would have been the first target in a Soviet-American war during the Cold War.
    They have a very low crime rate.
    Germany is home to most of the world's smartest scientists.
    Germans are known to be expert craftsmen.
    Cologne water (eau de Cologne) comes from Cologne, West Germany, and has been made there since 1709.
