He walked five people in his no-hitter. Leading to the joke how many hits? Count the fingers on his right hand, how many walks? Count the fingers on his left hand.
He retired in 1996, came back in 98, then retired again in 99.
He led the AL in losses (1996 with 18 losses).
He didn't pitch well after throwing his no-hitter.

He was a successful major league pitcher, despite his handicap.
He is one of the few players ever to skip the minor leagues and go straight to the majors.
He would wear his glove on his right hand, then quickly put the glove on his left after throwing a pitch, so he could field the ball.
He was the starting quarterback for his High School football team in Michigan and led them to the state finals.
He inspired many handicapped children to take up athletic activities.
He had two hits and 3 RBI's in 21 career at bats, swinging one-handed.
Fans considered him a role model and nice guy.
He is left handed.
