Why he might be annoying:

He has an unusual style of goatee.
He played for six different teams.
He struggled to maintain consistency, as he rotated between the starting rotation and the bullpen.
He was acquired by the Florida Marlins during the 1996-97 off-season, but was flipped to Montreal before he ever got to play a game for the team.
He attempted to make a comeback the following year with the Reds, but he refused an assignment to Triple-A, which essentially ended his career for good.

He was a top three pick in the 1994 MLB draft.
He got an opportunity to be a full-time player when he was traded to the Expos.
He was one of the lone bright spots in the Expos pitching rotation during the late 1990's.
He unselfishly made the transition into a reliever during his tenure with the Red Sox.
He earned a World Series ring as a member of the White Sox (2005).
