He originally wanted to try out for the NBA but decided not to after an unsuccessful tryout with the Miami Heat.
He once considered walking out on the Chiefs to try a career in the NBA.
He appeared on MTV Cribs.
One of his favorite TV shows is ‘Oz.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He owns his own restaurant franchise in Kansas City.
Midway through his career, he was already being considered one of the all-time greats at his position.
He is also a talented basketball player.
Because of his success, teams have made good tight ends out of basketball players, such as Antonio Gates.
He appeared in P.S.A.'s promoting seat belt usage following the death of teammate Derrick Thomas, whose life might have been saved had he worn a seat belt.
