Why they might be annoying:

Despite sharing director and producer credits on their films, they almost never worked together at all.
Today their animations look primitive.
They produced a short-lived cartoon series about the Jackson 5.
Some J. R. R. Tolkien fans despise their versions of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Return of the King.’
Jules Bass is reclusive and rarely gives interviews.
Interest in their cartoons dried up in the late 1980’s.

Why they might not be annoying:

‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,’ ‘Frosty the Snowman’ and many of their other Christmas specials are still broadcast during the holidays.
Their TV animation business was second only to Hanna/Barbera of 'Scooby-Doo' fame.
Jules Bass was a talented songwriter.
They agreed to share credit on all their efforts (just like Lennon and McCartney).
‘The Last Unicorn,’ ‘Thundercats’ and their Tolkien films still have a following among fantasy and sci-fi dorks.
