Why he might be annoying:

He considered himself a superior writer to William Shakespeare.
He was approached for permission to adapt his play 'Pygmalion' into a musical, and he angrily refused.
After his death. 'Pygmalion' was adapted into 'My Fair Lady,' one of the most successful musicals of all time.
During World War I, he suggested soldiers of every army might be wise to shoot their officers.
He went by his middle name.
He was a vegetarian.

He is the only person to win the Nobel Prize and the Oscar.
