Why she might be annoying:

She was rejected from ‘Venirandai’ (a Tamil-language film where she was to get a speaking part) on account of being too… thin!
Despite several nominations over the years, ‘Seeta & Geeta’ – in which she played polar opposite twins – marked the only Filmfare Best Actress Award win of her career.
Having rejected at least two other marriage proposals, she married a man that was already married (having children of his own, even!).
Despite her pedigree in dramatic roles, she was essentially the chatty comic relief of ‘Sholay.’

Why she might not be annoying:

Though among the first to wear trendy Western-world pants onscreen, she was one of the few Bollywood actresses to avoid revealing outfits in public.
A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, she set up the Natya Vihar Kalakendra dance school.
She would, however, get another Filmfare nomination with ‘Baghban,’ her first film role after a prolonged break.
Her one marriage – which lasted more than 40 years – also bore her two daughters (the younger giving birth first).
