The Resume

    (March 27, 1967- )
    Born in Heidelberg , Germany
Radio talk show host, documentary filmmaker, writer, director, and TV pundit
Host of The John Ziegler Show on KFI AM 640 from January 12, 2004 until November 13, 2007
Produced/Directed documentaries, 'Blocking the Path to 9/11' (2008) and 'Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted' (2009)
Wrote op-eds for The Los Angeles Times; Occasional contributor to websites, The Daily Caller and Mediaite
Self-proclaimed 'Pastor of the First Church of Tiger Woods'

Why he might be annoying:

    He is emotionally hyper-vigilant.
Conservative media outlets nicknamed him 'the self-promoting crap weasel.'
He lost a talk radio gig after repeatedly saying 'nigger' on the air.
He claimed that Tiger Woods' popularity proved that white racism no longer exists.
He lost a sportscaster job, in 1995, over racially charged jokes made about O.J. Simpson.
He was fired from WHAS radio, after he was sued for libel by former Chicago Bulls cheerleader, Darcie Divita, whom he dated briefly (2003).
He gave a series of bizarre network interviews to plug his 'Media Malpractice' documentary.
He made an inappropriate joke, while at a Fred Thompson rally, about a 2007 hostage incident at a Hillary Clinton campaign office, offending many.
When David Foster Wallace, whom he held a grudge against, committed suicide, he wrote a scathing obituary, calling him 'an overrated writer in life. His suicide should not be used to elevate him even further beyond what he deserved, in death.'
As his 'fifteen-minute infamy' began to heighten, a Youtube video went viral of him making a chauvinistic ass out of himself on a local dating reality show called 'The New Dating Story,' years earlier.
He harbored an obsessive infatuation with Sarah Palin shortly after the 2008 Election and then turned on her just as quickly when she began phasing him out.
Among his frustrations with Palin were his failure to obtain a ticket to her 2010 Jay Leno appearance, and his being unintentionally CC'd on staff emails of her mocking his eccentricities.
He then transferred his obsessive energy to the Jerry Sandusky trial, but failed to gain the same kind of traction from his reporting on it (might have had something to do with his calling Sandusky 'a chaste pedophile').
He was arrested for trespassing at a University of South Carolina Award Ceremony, and then tried to use to footage of his being detained to plug his documentary (May 2009).

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a fun interviewee to watch.
He defended Joe Paterno's good name.
He royally aggravated all five of the women on The View.
His 2003 libel suit was thrown out when it was ruled that, as a Chicago Bulls cheerleader, Darcie Divita was classified as a public figure.
He has had dustups with Jesse Jackson, O.J. Simpson, Barbara Boxer and Mark McGwire.
His work on Comcast's CN8 Television Network resulted in his winning a regional Emmy.
He was the first figure to publicly criticize John Kerry's 'stuck in Iraq' comments.
He was a passionate promoter of his 'Blocking the Path to 9/11' documentary.
His 'Media Malpractice' documentary actually makes a strong case that there was actual media bias during the 2008 Presidential Election.
He actually managed to make Kathleen Parker and Eliot Spitzer look comparably normal on their short-lived CNN program.
He criticized Norah O'Donnell, to her face, for falsely claiming that Sarah Palin called Barack Obama 'a terrorist.'
His mic was cut in a heated interview with Contessa Brewer in which he criticized David Letterman making rape jokes about Willow Palin.
He was once close friends with the late Andrew Breitbart, who was one of only three people to attend his 40th birthday party.
