The Resume

    (October 9, 1951 BC-January 30, 2023)
Resides in the Cleveland Ohio area
    Telephone company employee
Cleveland Indian fan who bangs a bass drum at every home game

Why he might be annoying:

He rooted for a team who's nickname was considered offensive among native americans.
When Municipal Stadium removed seats that fans banged on during rallies, he missed hearing the sound.
He purchased the cheapest bass drum he could find, it cost less than $30.
He used the same drum he purchased back in 1973 for decades, despite being cracked and repaired many times. He changed mallets a few times a year.
Although he banged a drum mindlessly during rallies, he claimed: 'It isn't just a crowd that stands around and screams, any idiot can do that. Cleveland fans know the game.'
    The drum is extraordinarily loud.
His wife, Kathleen, wore headphones when she sat next to him at the game.
He brought his drum to an Indian game in Oakland (1995).
He wanted to see Fenway, but it was closed. He saw a beer delivery truck parked outside and snuck in as though he was a delivery guy.
A woman wrote to a Cleveland newspaper that they should get rid of him. The paper answered back saying 'How do you fire a guy who works for free?'
He sat in the worst seats in the stadium.
He moved from the right field bleachers in Municipal to the left field bleachers at the Jake.
In his almost 50 years of attending games, he didn't see the Indians win a world series.
He proves it takes no talent to be a drummer.

Why he might not be annoying:

He purchased three tickets to every game, on for himself, one for his wife and the other for the drum.
He said of his fellow Indian fans 'There's a long-suffering crowd here.'
He and his drum are part of the baseball record of 455 consecutive sell outs at the Jake.
He went to almost every game no matter what the weather.
He drummed at his 3,000th game (April 27, 2011).
Movies such as 'Major Leagues,' had a guy banging a bass drum to emulate him.
He is a volunteer. He instructs people on how to teach the handicapped.
