Why they might be annoying:

They are a one hit wonder.
Two keyboardists, four bassists and four percussionists doth not soundth like a group known for stability.
Six years, one album, several failed singles and eight unreleased songs and they were done.
Some fans thought they reformed as the Climax Blues Band (nope, two different groups).

Why they might not be annoying:

Geraci, lead vocalist for The Outsiders, reformed the band, but when legal action was threatened he changed the name to Climax (which is a better name anyway).
'Precious and Few' peaked at #3 on Billboard's Singles chart in February 1972, was certified gold and sold well over a million copies.
The song and its lush arrangement is a staple of Top 40 oldies radio stations.
Nims younger sister Debbie toured with the band singing background vocals and playing the violin, and later sang backing vocals for Garth Brooks.
